IEEC

The IEEC participates in the planning, execution, dissemination and knowledge transfer of all kinds of initiatives, studies and projects related to space technology and space scientific research and innovation.

The IEEC also contributes to the definition and development of the NewSpace Strategy of Catalonia, coordinated by the Catalan government. The Catalonia Space Office at the IEEC is responsible to carry out several activities of the strategy and, in particular, the Talent and Society program.

The Talent and Society program aims to provide knowledge and skills related to space science and technology to students from schools, institutes and universities, professionals and civil servants. It promotes activities in order to generate, retain and attract talented professionals with capabilities to develop solutions in the NewSpace sector.

The program also has the ambition to raise the awareness of the importance of the space sector and the societal benefits it provides.
