The SPACE4GEO Alliance Partner SpaceShip Foundation and its Strategic Partner ICEYE invite young people from secondary schools from all over Poland to participate in the “Cosmic Challenge: Pathfinder/ Security

Cosmic Challenge is an educational program aimed at children and young people interested in the subject of space 🚀

The edition of Cosmic Challenge: Pathfinder/ Security is aimed at students from secondary schools from all over Poland and is implemented in Strategic Partnership with ICEYE – a world leader in the field of satellite radar data, using SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) technology.

The challenge aims to develop interdisciplinary education and encourage the development of space interests.

🏆 The prize in this edition of the program will be a trip for the winning team to the ICEYE headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

Teams that take 1-3 places will be additionally invited to the Polish branch of ICEYE, located in Warsaw.

As part of the first stage of this edition of the program, teams interested in participating in the program (consisting of two participantssecondary school students) + one adult Mentor, will have to prepare a written paper on “Increasing public safety through the use of satellite data“.

📅 Papers in the first stage can be submitted between:
01.02.2025 – 20.03.2025

🎯 The main goals of the Competition are:

1. Promotion of STEM education.
2. Integration of knowledge about space with mathematical and natural science subjects.
3. Development of creativity and innovation among children and young people.
4. Promotion of practical use of knowledge integrating different areas/subjects.
5. Development of skills in solving complex problems.
